Personal Letter from the Director

To be a Corporate Sponsor of Meadowgate means that you are supporting Meadowgate programs with your monetary commitment. This includes both individual and business commitments.

There are two ways to accomplish that….monthly or yearly.

There are three levels of sponsorship.

BRONZE: Is a once a year or monthly donation of the amount that you choose.

GOLD: Is monthly donation of $100 or more for at least one year. This enables you and/or your business to be recognized in our brochure.

DIAMOND: Is a monthly donation of $500 or more for at least one year. This enables you and/or your business to be recognized in our brochure and recognizes your commitment on our website. It also places a plaque on one of our stalls stating that you are a sponsor.

All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a statement at the end of the year for your tax purposes.

We do not take lightly your decision to make a commitment to saving lives of hurting and suffering horses and making “tears disappear”. We are extremely grateful for your decision to make a difference in many lives. So don’t hesitate any longer. Stand in the gap with us and commit today!

Thank you!

Sponsorship/Donation

Sponsor a Stall

Meadowgate is a unique and important cause for your sponsorship and donation.  Your sponsorship allows us to financially maintain a stall and start a recovery process through a horse’s individualized rehab program.  There are two types of sponsorship:

The first is Specialized Stall Sponsorship.  The specialized stalls, or quarantined stalls, play a vital role in the first step of a horse’s recovery process.  “Quarantined” stalls require high maintenance.  The quarantined stall is set up differently from a general stall in that it has matted floors and walls to discourage the spread of any infectious diseases or any other contagious illnesses.  We take disinfecting measures once the horse has passed the first step by obtaining a negative Coggins certificate and has received medical clearance from the vet before we move the horse to a general stall.

Your stall sponsorship also provides the horse with a feed bucket, a water bucket, and grooming supplies.  These items follow the horse, once they have been disinfected, through the rest of its rehab program.  Specialized Stalls vary in sizes from 12 x 12 to 16 x 16.

The second is General Stall Sponsorship.  Your sponsorship of a general stall provides support to the maintenance and repair of a stall due to destruction, damage, or daily wear and tear caused by the horse assigned to that stall and all the bedding materials required.  Bedding requirements can be different per stall and are based on the horse’s condition and needs.  This sponsorship also includes support for larger foaling stalls for mares that come into Meadowgate with foals at their side.  General stall size at the facility is 12 x 12.  Foaling stalls are 14 x 14, or 16 x 16 depending on the breed of the horse that has arrived.

For both types of sponsorships, we place an engraved brass plate at the entrance of the stall with the name of the sponsor.

Sponsor a Horse

With your donations, we are able to meet the needs of horses that cannot be placed.  These are usually older horses with few medical issues but just need a place to live the rest of their life in peace and safety after a life of abuse or neglect.  The funds are used to maintain vaccinations, de-worming regiments, ferrier and vet care, as well as grain and hay.

We also post an engraved brass plate on the stall who the sponsor is for each horse.

Barn Addition Fund

Always a need here!  As Meadowgate grows so does the needs of the barn.  Our barn currently has several large box stalls, but needs to add 5 more stalls down the middle of the barn allowing us to accomodate more in one building.  As this space is used for stalls our current indoor riding/training area will be taken and we will need to add on an indoor riding/training arena.  Donated funds or building materials for this project are greatly needed and completion of this second phase will also allow Ponderosa Pals programs an indoor working area to use.

Meadowgate also has plans to have a sauna building, which will be constructed from concrete blocks. This building is for a heated pool which we use in our rehab.  It is not a pool for humans, just for horses.  A ramp is on both ends of the pool and is slip resistant.  Horses enter one end and swim to the other with guidance of the staff from above.  The weightlessness is very helpful for horses with a lot of different injuries. This building will contain safe heating units and meet fire safety precautions.  This is something new in this area of NY and will also be open to outside sources for a fee to help maintain its cost.
